Also known as Potatoes, Cheese and Ham

Delicious breakfast staple using classic breakfast ingredients including potatoes, ham, onions and cheese.



Ingredients
  • Ham, pre-cooked (cubed or cut up slices)
  • Potatoes, cubed
  • Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • Onions, diced (optional)
  • Butter (or oil if you prefer)
Directions
  • Put a skillet on medium heat
  • Add butter or oil to coat bottom of pan
  • Add diced onions (optional)
  • Add potatoes and cover stirring occasionally to prevent potatoes from sticking to pan
  • When potatoes are soft, lower heat
  • Add ham
  • Cook for a few minutes
  • Turn off heat, add cheese and cover
  • After cheese melts serve immediately

Onions sweeten this dish considerably so I think they are well worth it. Either way this is a hearty dish with rib-sticking power that is a good way to start a day. This is especially true if you are preparing to do a lot of hard labor.
